BEING AT METU
I am a freshman at METU. It’s my first year. Being a student at METU is a good thing. I am very proud of being here. Because everybody can’t win this university. And METU is the second in foreign language field. METU has a very big area. And some parts of it is a forest.This is great. Because trees clean the air.It is important in terms of health.We are lucky.As many types of sport are available.There are many clubs, music courses, dance courses ect.METU has also a very big library. We can find everything here. We can access the internet from everywhere in METU area. These are good sides of METU.But unfortunately there are also negative sides.One of them is transportation.I stay at my own home.And I enter from the door A1.But rings don’t pass there.Thus I have to walk every day.Ring is a problem not only for me but also for everyone here.Because there isn’t any ring after five o’clock.So after lesson all students have to walk.Or they sometimes hitchhike to go to their destination.Another thing is the language of education.As it is English, adaptation to coursses firstly is difficult.But in time you get used to this.I think, I don’t still get used to exactly.I am afraid of midterms.Because I don’t know how midterms will be.Yet I hope I will pass.However METU has negative sides, I am happy with being here. :)

    My dear friend,
    I think we share the same thoughts. As you said, Metu is a great place for students. Firstly, campus enables us everything we need. It is like a small city. We can do a lot of social things like joining different clubs, doing a hobby or just wandering in this beautiful nature. Internet is of course a dispensable thing for us. Thanks to Metu , we can use internet easily. But at the same time, there are some bad sides .Rings are crowded, old and frustrating.And also I find it silly that there is no ring after five pm. On the other hand, I agree with you about the education in English. It is a new and unusual but beneficial thing for us. Consequently, we are lucky students and should spend our university years fully and efficiently.
